The Problem
Water is crucial for maintaining health, cognitive function, and overall well-being. However, many learners are not drinking enough water during school hours. This lack of adequate hydration can result in decrease cognitive performance, physical health issues, and low reading ability leading to lower academic achievement.
The Context
Schools are environments where learners spend most portion of their day, making them ideal settings for promoting healthy habits.
However, many schools face challenges such as outdated facilities, lack of hydration stations, and awareness about the importance of drinking water.
There are learners who do not bring drinking water with them and parents who cannot prepare for their children for many reasons.
Learners who lack good hydration level will perform poor in the classroom. There is a need to educate learners about the importance of drinking water every other hour of the day while learning in school.
